Solarte BJJ Competition Team Medals at ADCC Open – Portland!

The Solarte BJJ Competition Team has spent the last several weeks preparing for ADCC Open – Portland. We’re a small team in a small town, so this was a big deal for us. Everyone at the club supported the competitors as they got ready, and it paid off. In the end, we had three guys in the tournament and…they did awesome. Incredible hard work and heart from all of them resulted in🥇🥈🥉!!!!

Alex showed a lot of poise and won silver in intermediate masters -91kg. Brady fought off subs to prevail with gold in beginner adult -65kg. Ivan had a loss, but came back with 3 consecutive wins to earn bronze in beginner masters -91kg. Most importantly they learned a lot (for Brady and Ivan it was their first BJJ comp!) and they had a blast.

Throughout the training camp, the entire competition team improved leaps and bounds. HUGE thanks to Coach Brian for leading an excellent training camp and to the teammates, friends and family who helped support the team as they prepared.🙏❤️

contact us today! You don’t even have to compete. A number of our competition team members do not compete, but they enjoy helping their teammates prepare. IMPORTANT: We value every member of the club. Not everyone has to compete or even be part of the competition team to matter. We all get better together! In a small town club, we appreciate every person who steps on the mats to better themselves and to help others.
